2010 Worlds Series Champions, San Francisco Giants!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray! The drought is over and we can all take a drink, and relax. No more can the A's and Dodgers fans hold a particular fact over our collective heads.

And don't get me wrong, some of my best friends support the Green and White, but they always seem to hamstring me when the World Series comes up. Yeah, Yeah, it'll happen I say, and then we all get kicked in the balls again. Well no more.

Dodgers fans, well, a rivalry is a rivalry. We'll be seeing you later, you can count on it. Hope you enjoyed your 56 years of bragging rights.

But for now, here's to Stretch, who came within two feet of winning it in '62.

Here's to the 1989 Bay Bridge Series, to Will "The Thrill", Kevin Mitchell, Matt Williams, Robby Thompson, Jose UUUUUUUUUUUUU-RRRRRRRRIBE!, Dave Dravecky, Rick Rueshel, Bob Brenley, Brett Butler, Candy Maldonado, Don "the Caveman" Robinson, Steve Bedrosian, and that old cowboy, Roger "HUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM BBBBAAAAAAABBBBBBBBYYYYYYYY!" Craig!

And an A's team that won, while being goosed up on 'roids.

Here's to Rob "Shooter" Beck, and his mullet, belly, gold chains and 'stache.

To the 1993 Giants who won 103 games and didn't get to the playoffs.

To the 1997 Giants who lost to Florida, who had a young buck named Edgar Renteria on the team.

To the 2002 Giants who lost while being all goosed up on 'roids.

To Darrin Baker and JT Snow, and a mishap avoided.

To all my boys who shivered in the cove for Game 3, and watched the game collapse, while we shouted Huck the Falos!

To Mad Dog Russo, he finally got his one time! Hope he didn't sell the kids like he promised.

To Spring Training and the Three Palms, and the rulers of the pool.

To my old man, who followed the Giants from NY, and finally got to see a Worlds Series Championship.

And Here's to the 2010 rowdy bunch of torture-inducing bearded misfits, baseballers of the long haired, pot smoking, stank thong- wearing ilk, scrappers with nothing to lose and everything to gain, who made the impossible a reality and turned San Francisco into the one thing we always brag about and rarely have, A Family.

Go Giants!

A.
